Product Features
Pedrosa e Irmãos has decades of experience in the production of treated and certified wooden poles. Widely used to support overhead electricity and telecommunications lines, wooden poles are the most economical, lightest and easiest option to install.
We commercialize poles impregnated with Creosote or Tanalith, both substances that are approved by the European directive for industrial use.
The preservation process is performed in facilities certified by the French Institute FCBA, guaranteeing a 15-year duration.
We offer standard or custom configurations, with specific requirements for strengths, loads, deformations, and dimensions between 7 and 18 meters. The poles produced can include holes, notches or inscriptions, according to your requirements.
Transport and installation
Wooden poles are easy to handle and can be stacked and overlapped in transport. Poles such as concrete or steel require separating systems to prevent them from being damaged.
Although some care is recommended, wooden poles can be dragged, pushed by mechanical means and hung by their ends, simplifying the installation process. Unlike with other materials, small blows do not compromise the pole's durability.
Wood also allows for climbing via straps, for quick installation and maintenance actions.
Strength, adaptability and maintenance
Unlike other solutions that require hardware and predetermined configurations, wood poles allow simple and flexible attachment of additional cabling, systems and fasteners. This makes it easy and immediate to adapt according to needs.
Wood requires little energy to fell, transport and prepare, and is incomparably less energy and costly than the application of concrete or steel.
Being a natural and biodegradable product, at the end of its life it is reduced and reused, subtracting the degraded part before recycling.
Guarantees and Certificates
The preservation process is performed in facilities certified by the French Institute FCBA.
We guarantee preserved poles for the duration of 15 years and that they comply with the European standard EN 14229:2010.
